Rita's Spring Garden

April 9, 2011

Those of you who followed my blog last year, know about my dear friend Rita.  She is my garden mentor as well as friend.  Rita has taught me many things about gardening perennial flowers and given me many, many divisions of her beautiful treasures.

This is a mosaic of photographs I took in her garden yesterday.

  1. I find crocus to be one of my favorite bulbs for the sheer joy the sight of them blooming brings! They are a clear sign the seasons are changing! Cheers, Jenni

  2. What a lovely assortment of crocus, every fall I intend to get more. You know how that goes, the key word being "intend'. Thanks for joining my blog list, happy spring.

  4. I haven't planted crocus, but I see them blooming all over in my area, and I have nothing blooming yet, so this is on my list of fall bulbs to plant for sure! Thanks for sharing.

  5. PS - I have to comment on the rose campion in your sidebar. It's one of my favorites as well! I'm interested to see if I have any flowering this year. I had flowers last year, and two years before that, but not the year in between. I saw a few plants in the garden as I was cleaning out beds so I'm hoping that some of the seed from the first blooming year was dormant a year and that I'll have flowers. Do you think that's possible? I sure hope so!

Comments are always welcome!

If you have a question, I'll respond on your own blog, if you leave me the link! I'll also answer questions here (in case anyone else is interested).

I had to start 'moderating' the comments because I was getting so much spam, so if you notice your comment doesn't show up right away, that is why.

Happy Gardening!
