Spring Flowers and a New Look

May 7, 2014

Daffodil 'Tete-a-Tete'
My favourite little daffodils are just coming into bloom, they are only about four inches tall.   I'm really looking forward to picking some for a mini-bouquet, but I shall wait until more are in bloom.

Other things that are blooming in my garden right now:

Crocus 'Golden Yellow'

Scilla

Crocus 'Pickwick' with little friend

Puschkinia
Things are coming along!

As you can see, I changed my blog layout.  I had a hard time getting everything to fit (either the sidebar was overtop of the main text - like seeing double - or the sidebar was completely hidden).   Finally figured it out, so it's all good now.

I'm told that people find it easier to read dark writing on light backgrounds, which is the opposite of my last layout. If anyone finds it difficult to read, please let me know and I'll tweak it!

Happy gardening and have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

  1. I see you are as far behind as I am, which shouldn't surprise me. Your Spring seems to finally be moving right along for you now providing lots of blooms.

  2. Lovely selection of early bloomers, especially the Puschkinia. That's one I would like to add to my garden.

  3. The photos of your spring blooms are beautiful, Diane. I like all the golden loveliness of the first two and then the blues and lavenders coming in later. Have fun tweaking your blog layout and enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

  4. I like the new look but it will take a bit of getting used to - and I did notice there is nowhere for Followers. Lovely to see your garden 'springing' into life at last.

  8. Black background are dramatic and show pictures to advantage, but I do find them hard to read. Your new layout and colors are great.
Looks like your garden is coming out of its winter slumber. It is wonderful to have some daffodils and tulips in my own garden as well.

Comments are always welcome!

If you have a question, I'll respond on your own blog, if you leave me the link! I'll also answer questions here (in case anyone else is interested).

I had to start 'moderating' the comments because I was getting so much spam, so if you notice your comment doesn't show up right away, that is why.

Happy Gardening!
